You can choose which positions to sign up for, and the descriptions below will help you understand the commitment for each role. Please remember: if you volunteer for the show your child is in, you WILL be able to watch from backstage. No paper to return and no need to call—just make your selection online, and we’ll take care of the rest!
Dress Rehearsals: May 7, 8, and 9
Recitals: May 11, 12, 13, and 14
CLASS CHAPERONE (requires both rehearsal and recital)Please note: This position includes both dress rehearsal and the recital.
It’s beneficial for students to have a familiar face for both rehearsal and recital.
Rehearsal Time Commitment: 2–4 hours
Recital Time Commitment: 1.5–2 hours
Job Description: Supervise and entertain dancers in the ballroom, escort classes to and from the stage, and assist students with costume changes.
BALLROOM ATTENDANTS
Rehearsal Time Commitment: 3–4 hours
Recital Time Commitment: 1.5–2 hours
Job Description: Assist Class Chaperones and students, and help escort dancers to and from changing areas.
Positions for students only
STUDENT RUNNER
Rehearsal Time Commitment: 2–4 hours
Recital Time Commitment: 45 minutes before the recital and 15 minutes after the recital
Job Description: Escort students to and from the check-in area and assist chaperones as needed.
STUDENT ASSISTANT
Rehearsal Time Commitment: 2–4 hours
Recital Time Commitment: 45 minutes before the recital until students are dismissed after the recital
Job Description: Assist Class Chaperones with student supervision throughout the event and help with costume changes.
